I tried to record a macro of me doing all these things but the macro that got recorded seemed to be incomplete. I would just do a Find/Replace of the entire workbook and conduct the replacement there. Ideally, I won't need to loop through every sheet. The operation needs to happen without any human intervention. Second, I notice that the "Replace()" method only works if I manually make the wanted sheet visible. I have to manually click Okay to get out of that pop-up. However, when excel comes across a sheet without the word "pending" it throws a pop-up error saying "Microsoft Office Excel cannot find any data to replace. My plan is to loop through every sheet and conduct the replace. It should be easy to follow, its being done on Matlab 2011b-but that should not matter as the Activex server is Excel and Matlab just blindly interfaces with it. I have used Activex before, so I am confident there is a way to do this, but I am coming across some annoying problems. I am employing Activex to perform these tasks. Replace every value that says "pending" to blankĤ. The file will have multiple sheets (about 40 or more)Ģ. I am building an application in Excel to do the following operations:Ī.
